The second day of NY Fashion Week went off without a hitch yesterday, Friday, February 12. The stars aligned for Naomi Campbell’s ‘Fashion For Relief (Haiti)’ fashion show.  Kelly Osbourne, Chris Brown, Estelle, Diane von Furstenberg and Alan Cummings were just some of the many celebrities that took to the runway to show their support for the cause.  Pictures courtesy of GETTY.

This is the official promotional video for the song ‘Everybody Hurts.’ The song features Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart,  Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey,Jon Bon Jovi,Susan Boyle and a host of others. The song is the same as the original version that was recorded by R.E.M. in 1993. This version works because there are a variety different voices singing in the same key and no one is trying outshine the other. The song’s structure wasn’t tampered with and the video focuses more on the footage of Haiti rather than the celebrities themselves.

The opening ceremony of the XXI Winter Olympic Games was going swimmingly until it came time for the actual torch lighting. As the torch–which looked like a machete by the way– was passed to Hockey great Wayne Gretzky, the crowd and audience waited in anticipation for the cauldron to rise from the ground. The audience waited and waited and waited some more and finally it became obvious that one of the torch lights had malfunctioned.  The Powers That Be, decided it would be best to continue on with the ceremony.  The display torch was finally lit and Gretzky exited the stadium to light the actual torch.
