Singer Jennifer Lopez has been officially dropped from Sony Records. The singer tried to make a comeback last year, but her sales have been mediocre. Lopez’s manager, Benny Medina, released the following statement yesterday (February 23).

“Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music Group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction of her career as an actress and recording artist, she is grateful and appreciative to everyone at Sony for all that they accomplished together.”

Lopez’s album Love? was slated to be released later this year, but something tells me that, that is not going to be happening anytime soon.

Check out Kanye West’s new music video for the song “Coldest Winter”, a track from his last album 808’s & Heartbreak. The video looks like something Tim Burton would direct. It definitely has a ‘cold’ feel to it. Not sure what I think about it.
