Amber Rose attempts to mimic Grace Jones

Kanye West posted a picture, on his website, of his girlfriend Amber Rose recreating Grace’s Jones’ historic pose. Ever since West posted the picture yesterday, February 24, the internet has been buzzing with both praise and criticism. Of course Rose didn’t execute the pose the way Jones did, but I do give her credit for trying.  Grace Jones was photographed by renown photographer Jean-Paul Goude many moons ago. The photo shoot was actually done  for Grace Jones’ 1985 album,“Island Life”.

However, many people don’t know that Jones was not able to pull off this pose on her own strength.  This shot took hours to create and  it took a series of tricks to execute. Jones’ version is mind-blowing. I’m not sure whose idea it was for Rose to pose like this, but if you’re going to do something, you need to do it all the way!
