Taylor Swift is the new face of Cover Girl

Move over Rihanna, there’s a new Cover Girl in town. Grammy Award winning singer Taylor Swift just completed her first shoot for  her Cover Girl campaign. According to MTV, Swift is elated to have the opportunity to be the new face of the popular brand.

Here’s what Swift had to say about the opportunity:

“I am so excited to become the next Cover Girl,” Taylor said in a P&G press release, “I have admired many of the Cover Girls since I was a little girl…great artists and actresses who are confident and still themselves. It’s like a dream come true to be a part of the future of Cover Girl.”

The General Manager of  Cover Girl cosmetics, Vince Hudson,  is more than pleased to have Swift representing CG.

“With her fresh beauty and authentic style, Taylor is a wonderful addition to the Cover Girl family,” said Vince Hudson, General Manager of CG cosmetics. “Through all her success, Taylor remains a grounded and sincere woman who connects with fans everywhere by being true to who she is. She personifies the iconic image of the brand while representing the next generation of both inner and outer beauty.”

Swift’s CG advertisements will debut sometime in January 2011!

I’m not surprised by this, Swift really does seem like the perfect person for CG.
