“Bridget Jones’ Diary 3″ In The Works
Actor Colin Firth hinted that a third installment of Bridget Jones’s Diary was in the works and now it seems like all systems are go.
Working Title Films is now working on rolling out a third Bridget Jones film, according to Entertainment Weekly.
So what will the plot be this time around?
Here’s what Colin Firth, who played Mark Darcy in the first two films, had to say about the plot in 2010:
“I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can’t have children, I think that’s the way it goes on,” Colin said at the time. “So then she makes the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver [played by Hugh Grant] for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he dumps her, and she’s left stranded, and guess who comes back to rescue her?”
Helen Fielding (author of the “Bridget Jones” novels) is currently working on a third book.
The first two Bridget Jones’s Diary films grossed more than$350 million each in theaters.
