VH1′s Basketball Wives is making headlines once again. The internet has been buzzing over the alleged firing of cast members Royce Reed, Jennifer Williams, and Kesha Nichols. TMZ was the first news outlet to report the story, but none of the cast members named have confirmed or denied the news outright.
Basketball Wives executive producer Shaunie O’Neal remains adamant that she had nothing to do with the firing of her cast members. In fact, O’Neal says she heard the news (rumor) the same time everyone else did. Sources close to O’Neal say she is left in the dark about decisions ever since butting heads with producers over the direction of the show.
Many are finding it hard to believe O’Neal especially since she herself said she wanted to get rid of three cast members who she found herself not on the same page with.
O’Neal on if she would exclude any of the ladies from season 5:
“Yes. Three. There would be three who are out immediately in Miami. No questions asked. Not in anything personal, just not where I’m trying to go. Not on the same page.”
