First Look: Angelina Jolie as Maleficent

Even though the movie won’t hit theaters until 2014, Angelina Jolie‘s Maleficent is  creating a buzz. A photo of Jolie as the title character surfaced on the web yesterday. The photo features a headshot of Jolie in costume, which include bright red lipstick, yellow eyes and black/purple horns.

Maleficent is the wicked sorceress from Disney’s 1959 movie, Sleeping Beauty. The movie will focus on why and how Maleficent turned into such a vengeful and evil being.

Maleficent hits theaters on March 14, 2014.  Is the photo a hit or miss?
