Lil Wayne Breaks Elvis’ Billboard Record
Rapper Lil Wayne has a new record under his belt.
Weezy just surpassed Elvis Pressley‘s Billboard Hot 100 record of having the most Billboard Hot 100 hits.
According to Billboard, his feature on The Game’s song “Celebration,” landed him his 109single on the Billboard charts, passing the 108 posted by Pressley between 1958 and 2003. The majority of Weezy’s Hot 100 hits were collaborations; he only had 42 solo songs posted on the Hot 100.
Elvis had 31 songs on the pre-Hot 100 chart between1956-1958, some of which includes hits such as “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Don’t Be Cruel” and “Hound Dog.” Even though the king of Rock-N- Roll lost this title, he still holds the title for The Most Hot 100 Entries by a Solo Artist.
