Miley Cyrus for COSMOPOLITAN Magazine [Dec. '13]

mileycosmo

Get ready for Christmas with Miley Cyrus.

The “Bangerz” singer covers the December issue of COSMOPOLITAN.  Cyrus is once again dishing on her controversial VMAs performance. In addition to that, Cyrus talks about being single for the first time in years.

Check out some highlights from her feature below.

So much has changed since your last Cosmo cover! Is this the most insane year of your life so far? “Everything is so chaotic and crazy right now and it’s so much all at once, but I’m living for it. I’m just having the best time ever and everything’s falling into place like it’s supposed to. Even people who want to hate on me, they can’t even shut down the fact that I’m literally what everyone is talking about. I don’t want to say that I’m on top right now – I feel like I’m kind of an underdog in a cool way. It’s almost punk rock to like me because it’s not the right thing to do. Like, society wants to shut me down.”

People were shocked by your VMA performance – but it was tame compared with the “We Can’t Stop” video. “When people started complaining about the awards show, I was like, ‘Have you never seen the fucking video?’ And what if I hadn’t done that performance? The VMAs would have been bad. They would have been missing something. The show was kind of making fun of how serious the pop industry is.”

How did you feel about the celebrities who dissed your VMAs performance? “I don’t really care. I think everyone would have given anything to be me at that moment, because I was being one hundred percent true to myself…and not many people can say that. At the end of the day, I would say I’m a nice person, and I take pride in the fact that I treat everyone really well, so there’s no reason for anyone to ever come at me because I only want the best for everybody else. I have a song that’s like, ‘Stay in your lane,’ because I’m not going to be you and you’re definitely not going to be me, so don’t throw shade. I don’t ever throw shade at anyone.”

What about the celebs who are on Team Miley? “The support of other artists is important because there are not many people who can relate to what I’m going through right now. Kanye West is one of those people, and even Katy Perry has been so cool. It’s easy for Kanye to support me because we’re in totally separate lanes of competition, but for Katy to say that she appreciates what I’m really doing for the pop industry, that keeps you going. And I mean, who cares what the media buzz is if Kanye West is telling you that you’re the shit?”

This is the first time you’ve been single in years. How are you dealing with that? “I need to treat my music like a relationship – give it my time and all the attention it deserves – and that’s my main love right now. This is the best time of my life. I’m not going to look back on it and be like, ‘I wish I hadn’t been dwelling over a breakup,’ you know? Because that’s not what God wants my life to be about right now. God wants my life to be about being successful and being happy and blessing other people and being blessed.”

Tootie’s got a bun in the oven!

Kim Fields is expecting her second child, with husband Christopher Morgan, 37. The pair are already parents to 6-year-old son Sebastian Alexander.

“Sebastian and Christopher are very excited. We’re very, very blessed,” she reveals. “It was planned. We’ve actually been trying for a couple years. We had gotten pregnant twice and [miscarried]. Chris and I were very blessed to really have one another, to have our family and friends and our God to really get us through that.”

“Funny enough, for a minute I thought I was getting pre-menopausal ‘cuz certain things were starting to be irregular and then other symptoms started — my memory and I was clumsier than normal which I couldn’t even believe was possible. Then our son got sick with a stomach virus and I caught it. Chris said, ‘No, babe, you’re a little sicker than Sebastian. You need to go and get that checked out’ and I said,’Okay.’ They tested me and said, ‘Oh honey, you’re not dehydrated. You’re two months pregnant.’”

Morgan and Fields have been married since 2007. Fields will make the official announcement on an upcoming episode of The Real, next week. But in the meantime, check out a glimpse of her announcement below.

Kanye West Chats with ‘W Magazine’ About “Yeezus” & Kim Kardashian

kanyethetransformer

Kanye West is features in the new issue of W magazine.

In an article titled,”Kanye West: The Transformer,” the “Yeezus” rapper opens up about Kim Kardashian, his narcissism, being rich, his music and much more.

Reporter Christopher Bagley sat down with West to chat about the aforementioned. Check out some of the highlights from their interview below.

On how agreeing to attend one runway show led to the song “I Am God:”

West was informed that he’d be invited to a widely anticipated runway show only on the condition that he agree not to attend any other shows. “So the next day I went to the studio with Daft Punk, and I wrote ‘I Am a God,’?” West says. “Cause it’s like, Yo! Nobody can tell me where I can and can’t go. Man, I’m the No. 1 living and breathing rock star. I am Axl Rose; I am Jim Morrison; I am Jimi Hendrix.” West is not smiling as he says this, and his voice is getting louder with each sentence. “You can’t say that you love music and then say that Kanye West can’t come to your show! To even think they could tell me where I could and couldn’t go is just ludicrous. It’s blasphemous—to rock ’n’ roll, and to music.”

On why he named the song “I Am God:”

“I made that song because I am a god,” he says finally. He laughs for a second, then stops. “I don’t think there’s much more explanation. I’m not going to sit here and defend shit. That shit is rock ’n’ roll, man. That shit is rap music. I am a god. Now what?”

On W’s 2010 cover of a nude Kim Kardashian:

“I loved the fact that it happened, that it disturbed people. I loved the fact that it put those curves right inside that Hamptons house, that there’s some Hamptons husbands who had to cover that up.”

In his narcissism:

“On one end, I try to scale it back,” he says. “Because I don’t want to close any of the doors needed to create the best product possible. But my ego is my drug. My drug is, ‘I’m better than all you other motherfuckers. Kiss my ass!’ ”

On an unidentified woman threatening to release a raunchy video of her and West:

“For the most part, I’d rather people have one of those home videos than some of the paparazzi photos that get published,” he says. “At least I recorded the shit myself. That tape couldn’t have hurt me in any way if it came out—it could only have helped.” He finally decided against releasing it, but don’t be surprised if he changes his mind. “Now, I just do exactly what I want, whenever I want, how the fuck I want,” West says. “ ‘Fuck you’ is my message.”

On  helping Kim K. revamp her closet:

“Nobody can tell my girl what to do,” he says. “She just needed to be given some platforms of information to work from.” Since virtually everything Kardashian wears is instantly broadcast around the globe, West adds, “one beautiful thing is that as she discovers it, the world discovers it.” This includes Kardashian’s inevitable stumbles. “For her to take that risk in front of the world, it just shows you how much she loves me. And how much she actually loves the opportunity to learn. You got, like, a million companies saying, ‘This is impacting your brand! This is impacting your fans! And blah blah blah.’ But she still sees this light of beauty.”

On being comfortable:

“I’m not comfortable with comfort,” he says. “I’m only comfortable when I’m in a place where I’m constantly learning and growing.”
