Ebony Magazine is celebrating 65 years in circulation, so what better way to celebrate than to emulate moments of the past? The picture above is of singer Mary J. Blige donning the same clothes and make-up as Diana Ross did for her cover. Diana Ross posed for this cover back when the movie Mahogany was playing.  Even if you’re not a Mary J. Blige fan, you have to give her credit for pulling this off.

  1. It is an iconic photo in Diana’s long history of iconic images…..but, she pulled it off.

By the way, this was in the “Mahogany” montage not “Lady Sings the Blues”

Are these actual covers on the newstands or prototypes shown in the magazine.
