To the surprise of many Justin Bieber fans, tweens and  viewers alike, Bieber went home empty handed from this year’s Grammys. The media thought that Bieber would definitely win the “Best New Artist” Grammy, but instead he lost to  Jazz singer Esperanza Spalding. Both Bieber and his team were disappointed that the pint-sized singer’s loss.

Justin had this to say about not winning : “I had no clue what was going to happen; I worked really hard these past few years and you know, I’m not going to lie — I was disappointed,”

“But, you know, I’m gonna come back [next year] and we’ll take a few home.”

: “I’m inspired to work harder than I did last year. It’s going to be hard, but I’m going to try. Bieber fans, don’t get too upset. Be happy.”

Too bad Bieber’s fanbase isn’t as humble.  Many of Beiber’s fan took to Twitter and even Wikipedia to voice their disdain for singer Esperanza for beating out the singer. Here are just some the malicious tweets the singer’s fans unleashed on Esperanza after she was named “Best New Artist.”

  1. Justin Bieber’s fans should be venting their anger at Recording Academy and not at Esperanza Spalding aice they are the ones who gave her the award.
