New “Child’s Play” Movie to Hit Theaters in 2014

Everybody’s favorite evil doll is making his way back from the dead…again.

Chucky dolls and Child’s Play movies were a hot commodity back in the 80s. Now it seems that fifth installment in the Child’s Play series (or maybe even a remake) will be making its way to theaters in 2014.

As it stands,  Universal is remaining mum on the details of the film, but the film’s original writer Don Mancini is attached and will be directing as well.

The voice of “Chucky” will be done by veteran voice actor Brad Dourif, who lent his voice for the four other Chucky-related films.

There hasn’t been a new Chucky film since 2004’s Seed of Chucky. Dourif recently appeared on a panel at a North Carolina’s Mad Monster Party convention where he discussed the future installment(s) of Chucky.

Director/writer Don Mancini and writer David Kirschner have only revealed that they want  make the upcoming remake/sequel scarier.
