Keke Palmer Cast as ‘Chilli’ in TLC Biopic
Keke Palmer is about to take on one of her most challenging roles.
Palmer has been cast as “Chilli” in the upcoming VH1 TLC biopic. This news comes just a week after MC Lyte revealed that rapper Lil Mama had been cast as Left Eye.
Palmer has been a fan of both singing and TLC since she was young. “I knew at an early age that I wanted to be a singer like my mom,” says Palmer.
She continued, “I would sing ‘No Scrubs’ over and over again to the point my parents would have to tell me to stop, but I never did, I had my little hairbrush as my mic and nobody could tell me I wasn’t the fourth member of TLC.”
Now that Palmer has nabbed the role, she doesn’t have to pretend to sing into a hairbrush. “I am a true fan,” she says. “I love these ladies and I always want to be proud of my work in any role that I do.”
Meanwhile, actress Drew Sidora has been cast T-Boz in the biopic. The VH1 TLC biopic is slated to begin production in Atlanta next month.
