First Lady Michelle Obama Covers VOGUE [April]

First Lady Michelle Obama and her bangs cover the April issue of VOGUE magazine.

In this whimsical and laid-back interview, Mrs. Obama and President Barack Obama discuss family life, staying ground, family values, the president’s love for a 20-year-old pair of khaki  pants and much more. Below are some excerpts from the interview, for Mrs. Obama’s full interview, visit or pick up this issue at your nearest newsstand.

On focusing on the kids:

“The stresses and the pressures of this job are so real that when you get a minute,” the First Lady says, “you want to give that extra energy to your fourteen- and eleven-year-old. . . .”

On the POTUS and FLOTUS holding one another accountable:

“Be different people,” says the First Lady. “And I think we are accountable to each other for being who we are. There’s no way I could walk in the door and be somebody different from who I’ve been with this man for 20-some-odd years. He would laugh me out of the house!” She goes on, “And we are also blessed with families who hold us accountable.”
