Rick Ross Upset Over Losing Reebok Deal Because of “U.O.E.N.O” Song
Rick Ross is upset over losing his Reebok deal and feels the company owes him a second chance.
TMZ is reporting that Ross will lose between $3.5 million and $5 million. The rapper was getting a check every time he wore a pair of the company’s shoes.
Following the release of his controversial song, “U.O.E.N.O” Reebok severed ties with Ross. The song, which includes the lyric “Put Molly [Ecstasy] all in the champagne. She ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain’t even know it,” has been the topic of conversation since the lyric eludes to the act of rape.
Before being dropped, Ross issued a apology and pulled the song , which was only available on a mixtape.
According to TMZ, Ross feels the company should forgive him because he did so much for the brand by bringing classic Reeboks back in style in the hip-hop community.
Reebok has not changed its tune on the matter, saying, “We are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”
