Whoopi Goldberg is about her business and that’s all.
During a Vanity Fair even his week, Goldberg was asked by UsWeekly who she thought would be a good replacement for her Joy Behar when she leaves The View in May and for Elisabeth Hasslebeck if her departure rumors are in fact true.
“Let me tell you this about ‘The View,'” Goldberg told Us Weekly. ‘I take a paycheck every other week. That’s all I do. I could give a s–t what comes. I do my job — I have a contract. That’s where I stand. I don’t give a f–k.”
“I don’t care [about casting decisions]. That’s not my job,” she continued. “My job is to show up and be cute by 11 o’clock and get the f–k off that show by 12. And that’s what I try to do.”
The Color Purple actress seems disinterested, and is just concerned about her paycheck.
“Whatever y’all want,” Goldberg said. “Just make sure my check doesn’t bounce.”
Goldberg didn’t confirm or deny Hasslebeck’s departure and refused to guess who might replace her and Behar.
“I think it’s the only way to keep your sanity because these are not decisions that I get to make,” Goldberg said. “It ain’t my show. It’s Barbara’s show.”
