VH1’s “Hit The Floor” Gets Renewed for Second Season

VH1’s new scripted series Hit The Floor will live to see another season.

The novice show, which revolves around a dancer named Asha, has been renewed for a second season. Hit The Floor has become a major hit for the viewers in the 18-49 age bracket. It also helps that the show follows VH1’s widely-popular Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta.

VH1’s Senior Vice President of West Coast Production and Development, Jill Holmes had this to say about the series:

“We always knew that ‘Hit the Floor’ was a strong project from the beginning and we are thrilled that so many of our viewers agree with us. “With creator James LaRosa at the helm, everyone in front of and behind the camera has created a compelling, addictive series with high energy dance numbers, and we can’t wait to continue the storyline that’s made it the #1 cable show in its time period among adults.”

Hit The Floor currently airs Mondays on VH1 at 9 p.m. EST.
