Report: Tim Burton, Michael Keaton To Make “Beetlejuice” Sequel
Michael Keaton is reportedly ready to don that signature black & white striped suit again.
Sources close to the project have told Variety that director Tim Burton and Keaton are in talks to film a sequel to Beetlejuice.
Seth Grahame Smith has written the script and will produce with partner David Katzenberg through KatzSmith Productions. Grahame-Smith recently tweeted that he had big news on the horizon, but he didn’t go into detail about the information.
Keaton had been interested in returning to the role ever since Warner Bros. announced plans to green-light a sequel. Burton has not been a cheerleader of sequels, as the last one he made was Batman Returns in 1992.
The original Beetlejuice film was released in 1988 and starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder alongside Michael Keaton.
