Two ‘Hercules’ Films to Hit Theaters in 2014


It’s the battle of the Hercules films, with two movies centered around the Greek hero.

Hercules: The Legend Begins stars Kellan Lutz in the titular role. The film is slated to hit theaters in March 2014. The film also stars Gaia Weiss, and Scott Adkins.

Hercules: The Legend Begins Synopsis:

When prince Hercules learns of his real identity, he must choose to flee with his true love – Hebe, Princess of Crete – or to fulfill his destiny by overthrowing the tyrannical rule of the king and restoring peace to a land in hardship.

Meanwhile, Hercules: The Thracian Wars starring Dwayne Johnson in the title role hits theaters in July 25, 2014. This version also stars  Joseph Fiennes, and John Hurt,

Hercules: The Thracian Wars Synopsis:

Having enduring his legendary twelve labors, Hercules, the Greek demigod, has his life as a sword-for-hire tested when the King of Thrace and his daughter seek his aid in defeating a tyrannical warlord.

Johnson’s last handful of films have been some of the world’s largest grossing films, while Lutz doesn’t have the same star-power behind his name. Who do you think will make more money at the box office?
