Mariah Carey Releasing Updated Version Of No. 1s Album With New Material
Mariah Carey has now revealed that she’ll be releasing an updated version of her classic greatest hits compilation #1′s. This news comes just after Carey announced her very own Vegas residency deal at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
Carey’s Vegas residency will consist of her performing all 18 of her Hot 100 chart-toppers. This means her #1′s album will be updated to include the hits she’s created since the album was first released in 1998. These songs include: Heartbreaker, Thank God I Found You, We Belong Together, Don’t Forget About Us, and Touch My Body.
The updated #1′s album will also include new material.
“I have so many ideas for the show that I’m currently working on and am excited to perform all of my #1 singles together for the first time and others that are very close to my heart,” said Mariah in a statement. “My songs are the soundtrack of my life and I can’t wait to share them with my fans on stage!”
“Revisiting these songs for the show, working on the updated compilation and creating new music has really let me reconnect with my songs and I hope my fans will enjoy the experience.”
Mariah’s residency begins in May.
