Lady Gaga to Receive Honorary GRAMMY
Lady Gaga is set to receive the Grammy Museum’s Jane Ortner Artist Award at the 2016 Jane Ortner Education Award Luncheon in Beverly Hills on April 4. ‘
“The enormous impact Lady Gaga has had on artists and fans began with a strong educational foundation,” Grammy Museum executive director Bob Santelli said in a statement. “Her career trajectory, marked by extraordinary talent and creativity, is one of the most inspiring stories in music. We couldn’t be more honored to recognize Lady Gaga with this year’s Jane Ortner Artist Award
The award is just the latest impressive feat in Gaga’s recently redefined career. In December, she was crowned Billboard‘s Woman of the Year, then in January, she took home her first Golden Globe for her turn in American Horror Story: Hotel.
And the singer, 29, is showing no signs of slowing down: She’ll sing the national anthem at Sunday’s Super Bowl; is up for another Grammy on Music’s Biggest Night, where she’ll honor the late David Bowie with a tribute performance; and she’ll perform her song “Til It Happens to You” at the Oscars, where it’s up for Best Original Song honors.
