Janet Jackson Puts Tour on Hold to Start Family
Janet Jackson is reportedly ready for some mini-mes.
The singer is taking a break from touring. According to Jackson, she and her husband are “planning our family”.
This will be the third time Jackson has postponed her tour. The second leg of her tour was set to kick off in Las Vegas on May 16, but due to doctors’ orders, she has been advised to rest so she can start a family.
“We’re in the second leg of the tour and there has actually been a sudden change,” Jackson revealed in a Twitter video. “I thought it was important you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m gonna have to delay the tour.
She continued, “Please if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders, but I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
Jackson didn’t say whether or not she as pregnant, but she did end the video by thanking her fans.
She said,”Once again, thank you to all the fans for your love, your undying love, your loyalty, that means so much to me, you’re truly appreciated. It’s been a long journey and you guys have been there each and every step of the way and I really do appreciate that. Thank you so much… I will see you soon, I love you, bye.”
Jackson married Wissam Al Mana in 2012. She was previously married to singer James DeBarge and Rene Elizondo, Jr. from 1991 to 2000.
