A&E Cancels ‘Damien’

Damien has been cancelled after just one season. If the name sounds familiar, it’s because the series was a “continuation” to the 1976 horror film The Omen. Sadly, the A&E show has been axed, according to executive producer Glen Mazzara.

“This hurts to say but #Damien will not be getting a second season. Thank you from all of us to our amazing fans,” Mazzara tweeted Friday. “The #Damien fandom has been the absolute best. So sorry we won’t be able to continue our story for you.”

The show focused on a 30-year-old Damien (played by Bradley James), who grew up to be a photographer. Though he wreaked havoc on the lives of many, he was unaware of his troubled past until it comes back to haunt him.
