Nicole Kidman to Star in New TV Series
Nicole Kidman is making the jump to television.
The actress is set to star in a series called Top of the Lake: China Girl, according to the BBC.
Kidman just arrived in Australia to begin filming with co-star Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss.
This is the first time in over 25-years that Kidman will be on television. The actress was last on television in 1989 for miniseries Bangkok Hilton.
It took a year to negotiate a contract, but Kidman is all in. According to PEOPLE, Top Of The Lake: China Girl will have Moss’s character, Detective Robin Griffin, investigating the case of an unidentified body that mysteriously washes up on Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
Top of the Lake: China Girl will air on BBC Two in the U.K. and on SundanceTV and Hulu in the U.S.
