Kevin Spacey Tapped to Host the 2017 Tony Awards

Kevin Spacey is taking on Broadway, as he has been tapped to host the 71st annual Broadway awards ceremony.

“I was their 2nd choice for Usual Suspects, 4th choice for America Beauty and 15th choice to host this year’s Tony Awards. I think my career is definitely going in the right direction,” joked Spacey in a statement. “Maybe I can get shortlisted to host the Oscars if everyone else turns it down.”

Spacey is no stranger to Broadway, as he won a Tony in 1991 for Best Supporting Actor in Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers

The 71st annual Tony Awards will air live June 11 on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in NY.
