Jimmy Kimmel Gets Emotional Speaking on His Newborn’s Heart Condition
Late night host Jimmy Kimmel revealed to the world last night that his newborn son, Billy, has a heart condition.
Kimmel got emotional as he told his audience that he waited three-hours to be told that his son’s heart surgery was a success. According to Kimmel, the doctors were able to ix one of two defects his son has.
“He’ll have to have another open-heart surgery in three to six months,” Kimmel shared, adding that Billy will need a third “hopefully non-invasive procedure” when he’s in his early teens.
Billy was born April 21 with tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia, a congenital heart disease.
On Tuesday morning, the host’s wife Molly McNearney tweeted a photo of her husband smiling down at their baby boy Billy.
“I am thankful to love and be loved by these two brave guys,” she wrote, adding jokingly, “Both criers.”
