Trump Turned Down ‘SNL’ Appearance
Donald Trump has slammed ‘Saturday Night Live’ so much that he turned down the chance to appear on the show again.
During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Alec Baldwin revealed that President Donald Trump turned down an invitation to appear on Saturday Night Live when Baldwin hosted earlier this year.
“I can’t imagine what it would be like if I met him [now], if I ran into him,” Baldwin, who impersonates Trump on SNL, told host Ellen DeGeneres. “When we did the show — when I hosted SNL this season — we asked him to come. We invited him to come, we were so hopeful he would come, but he didn’t show up.”
The actor has been consistently playing Trump on the show all season. Baldwin has played Trump 16 times on SNL since the season debuted in October 2016.
