Playboy Honors Hugh Hefner By Making Him the First Man to Grace a Cover Solo

Playboy couldn’t let the year end, without paying homage to Hugh Hefner. The magazine has put Hefner on their November/December 2017 issue.

The photo used  was photographed by Larry Gordon in 19655, when Hefner was in his 30s. The fist six pages of the issue are also dedicated to Hefner’s life.

This cover makes 11th man to ever be on the cover of the magazine and the first man ever to be on the cover without a woman present.

Hefner died two days before the issue went to press, according Playboy. Hefner died on Sep. 27 and on On Oct. 1, Hefner was laid to rest at Westwood Village Memorial Park in L.A. next to Marilyn Monroe.
