Kandi Burruss Lands Role in Broadway’s CHICAGO!
Kandi Burruss is going to dazzle you on Broadway!
The songstress has signed on to play Matron “Mama” Morton in the Broadway musical, “Chicago.”
Burruss will be in the role from January 15 through March 11.
This will be the singer-songwriter’s first time on Broadway. She shared the news via Instagram, writing “I can officially announce that i will be performing as Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway January 15th- March 11th!!!!! I’m so excited! “Chicago” is now showing at the Ambassador Theatre. The musical currently stars Tony nominee Charlotte d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Leigh Zimmerman as Velma Kelly, Todrick Hall (through January 14) as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart, LaVon Fisher-Wilson as Matron “Mama” Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
