The Nominations for the 2018 Oscars Are In!
And the Oscar goes to… After months of speculation, the nominees for the 90th annual Academy Awards at finally here!
Greta Gerwig is the only woman nominated in the Best Director category, for her movie “Lady Bird.” Singer Mary J. Blige is nominated for her first Oscar, for Mudbound! No surprise that Daniel Day Lewis is nominate for “Phantom Thread,” which is fitting since the actor announced his retirement from acting last year.
“Get Out” was one of last year’s most talked about films and the Academy made sure to give the film he recognition it deserves. Other nominees include Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Plummer.
Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will once again serve as host of this year’s ceremony, which will air on Sunday, March 4, on ABC at 8:00 p.m.
