‘A Wrinkle In Time’ Debuts at No. 2 at the Box Office
Walt Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time takes No. 2 spot for its debut weekend.
Despite the heavy promo, the film was only able to gross $33.3 million from its Fri-Sun time-frame.
And since “Black Panther” has proven to be unstoppable at the box office it will be hard for the film to gross numbers bigger than that as the weeks go by.
‘A Wrinkle in Time’ was directed by Ava DuVernay and cost $103 million to produce. This was only the second time that a female director of color had a large budget to work with. Jennifer Yuh Nelson’s Kung Fu Panda 2 in 2011 was the first.
