John Legend is Now a Part of the EGOT Club
John Legend is a member of the EGOT club.
Thanks to his Emmy win this past weekend for serving as a producer for NBC’s ‘Jesus Christ Superstar,’ Legend can officially brag about being an EGOT.
EGOT refers to stars who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and TONY.
The singer has 10 Grammy Awards Under his belt, he took home an Oscar in 2015 for his song “Glory” which was featured in the movie Selma. Legend also won a Tony in 2017 for his role as a co-producer for the production of Jitney.
Legend played Jesus in NBC’s live production of the broadway show. He is also nominated for outstanding actor in a limited series or movie, which will be chosen during the primetime awards next week.
