Nicki Minaj’s MAC ‘Viva Glam’ Is Best-Selling Lipstick of All-Time



Nicki Minaj has a new achievement to brag about.

Minaj’s MAC lipstick, Viva Glam, is now the best-selling liptstick of all-time. Minaj tweeted the news to her followers.

She wrote, “#1 selling viva glam lipstick of all time… thank u for supporting a good cause. mmmuuuaaahhh!!!!”

The “Your Loveemcee released two shades under MAC- a coral/pink color and a lavender color.  It is not certain which shade was the best-selling, especially since Gaga too released a Viva Glam lipstick under MAC. The emcee didn’t reveal just how much her specific color(s) sold, but it should be noted that 100% of the proceeds for her shade(s) benefit men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS.

Celebrities Attend amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala [Photos]

The amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS Gala was filled with glitz and glamor. Any amfAR vent deserves the very best and each celebrity put their best foot forward and looked stylish. Some of the attendees included Mischa Barton ,Goldie Hawn , Gwen Stefani,Kirsten Dunst,Courtney Love ,Janet Jackson and much more. The Gala was held during the 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival at Hotel Du Cap on May 19, 2011 in Antibes, France.

Janet Jackson covers A&U magazine


Singer/actress Janet Jackson covers the latest issue of A&U (America’s AIDS Magazine).  In this issue, Jackson talks about her new book,  her views of the disease and more. View some of the snippets from the interview below.


Janet on the importance of talking about AIDS:

“And we should also feel comfortable talking about the disease at home and in our community. It is important that we tell our kids to love themselves enough to protect themselves. It’s all our responsibility.”

Janet on getting tested for HIV:

“Yes I do, and I suggest that everyone who is sexually active do it, too.”

Janet on her new book,” True Y0u” which will be released in 2011:

“I recently wrote a book entitled True You. It’s about my experiences internalizing everything, holding everything in, feeling inadequacy and shame. How I was able to begin to achieve happiness was by having that [one particular] person to open up to.”

Janet on why she cares so much about AIDS/HIV:

“I want to help! This is a horrible disease that affects us all. It doesn’t discriminate. I want to do my part.” She concludes: “I think it’s important for all of us to get involved. This is the only way that we are going to get a hold of this disease, especially with the youth, and in third-world countries. All of us need to help….”



Where is your favorite place to disappear to?
Anyplace where there is warm weather, a beautiful beach, and palm trees.

What’s your favorite city in the whole world?
I don’t have just one. Paris, Rome, Tokyo…There are so many!

…lack of privacy.

What do you think happens after we die?
I don’t think we die, just the shell does. The spirit lives on.

Do you look up to anyone as a role model?
Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, just to name two.

Out of the many people you have met, is there one in particular who stands out who impressed you, influenced you, or inspired you the most?
It was a true honor meeting Mandela and spending time with him at his home.

Who would you like to meet that you haven’t yet?
Jesus. There are so many questions I want answers [to].

Kelly Rowland has been scrutinized up and down for her hair and wardrobe choices, but after her appearance at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event on September 12, 2010 she has hushed those critics.

Ever since September came in, Rowland has been rocking an ultra chic short hairdo and it’s been working for her. Rowland looked glamorous from her head down to her feet. This event was held at The Carlu during the Toronto International Film Festival  in Toronto, Canada. Check out some more pictures below.
