Salma Hayek talks pregnancy and body image in the new issue of Glam Bellezza Latina.

The actress is known for her radiant look and gorgeous curves, but even she admits that Hollywood can be very critical of a woman’s body.

Glam Belleza Latina snippets of Hayek’s interview below!

On gaining 50 pounds during her pregnancy:
“I gained so much weight, I got the opportunity to see myself completely disfigured in many different ways – for a very good reason – and I don’t regret it for a second. That’s when I started appreciating my body. The things that I used to criticize they were not bad after all.”

On the pressure women face in Hollywood:
“We’ve got to fight for our confidence every day in modern life because we live in a society that is very harsh to women. You have to be smart and successful and a good mother and beautiful and young and skinny forever.”

On staying young at 46:
“I believe that change keeps you young. I’m a late bloomer; I always have been. A lot of women think that this is the [age] when you start getting depressed. To that I say, ‘No, no, no, no, no!’ I’m having the best time of my life.”

Demi Lovato Tweets Bikini Picture With Confidence

Demi Lovato received a truckload of compliments after she tweeted the picture above. As some of you may know, Lovato recently spent time in a rehabilitation center to help the young star cope with her battle with Bulimia Nervosa.

So suffice it to say that it took a lot of courage for her tweet ha candid picture (shown above).

Along with the picture, Demi tweeted the following message:

I never thought I’d ever feel confident enough to ever to that. I’m excited how far I’ve come since being completely ashamed of my body.. I want any girl/guy out there who struggles with body image or confidence to know that it IS possible to find peace with yourself. It hasn’t been easy, but it starts with a commitment to yourself.. Your mind.. And your soul. And trust me, I’m still working at it!! Haha

Like her or hate her, you have to give Demi credit. She’s come a long way and is doing her best to give young girls advice.
