Basketball Wives Season 3 Premieres May 30, New Cast Member Added

It’s almost that time again. Season 3 of Basketball Wives is slated to premier on Monday, May 30 at 8 PM on VH1. According to Vh1’s blog, all of the ladies are back and anew cast member has been added/ So who is the new cast member?  She just so happens to be Meeka Claxton, wife of former NBA champion and current NBA scout, Speedy Claxton.

So what does Season 3 have in store for you guys?  Read the synopsis below.

The ladies are all back and Miami gets even hotter with season three of “Basketball Wives.” The last time the basketball wives were all together, fans were shocked as they learned some of the ladies’ deepest secrets and saw the tension rise in the inner circle. Were the ladies able to move on from their drama since the reunion, or are the fires still burning? In season 3, viewers will catch up with Shaunie O’Neal as she balances a new shoe line, her love life, family outings and being a shoulder to lean on for the other ladies. Evelyn Lozada makes the transition from a basketball wife to a football wife with fiancé Chad Ochocinco. Will watching Evelyn build a family be hard for Jennifer Williams who just ended hers? The cameras will catch Jennifer leaving her “player” behind and navigating a new lifestyle as a single lady. But Evelyn and Jennifer have not forgotten their rivalry, Royce Reed. Left hurt and betrayed, Tami Roman works on rebuilding her trust for the ladies and moving on from the past. And watch out as new wife, Meeka Claxton, is added into the fray. With all the drama aside, the ladies still make room for some VIP fun in season three of “Basketball Wives”.

Evelyn Lozada On Marrying Chad Ochocinco: “We want to be engaged for at least a year”

(March 6, 2011 - Photo by Jemal Countess/Getty Images North America)

Evelyn Lozada might have gotten engaged to current beau Chad Ochocinco after only a few months of dating, but the couple says don’t expect a quicky wedding.

“He has four kids. I have one. We want to be engaged for at least a year and enjoy our time with our children, and then we’re going to plan our wedding,” Lozada told PEOPLE at Cosmopolitan‘s Fun Fearless Males of 2011 party in New York, where Ochocinco was honored.

Although both Evelyn and Chad seem  like the type to want an over-the-top wedding,  Evelyn doesn’t care for a big wedding.  “I want something small, even though he wants something big,” Lozada says. “I want something intimate. I’m 35, and we have five kids together. I don’t want anything over the top.”

The couple does want to have more kids, in fact they want twins.  “The more kids, the happier I am,” she says.

The two won’t have to worry about  their skeletons falling out the closet, the two have been very forthcoming with information about their past. “Sometimes we sit back at night and we literally sit for three to four hours and share stories about who we’ve dated and what we’ve done … every detail,” says Lozada.

The couple have also grown closer through adversity, after Lozada also told PEOPLE how tough it was to deal with the backlash she received after it was revealed she slept with Tami Roman‘s ex-husband Kenny Anderson while they were still married. Evelyn credits Chad for helping her through that tough time.

“I was having a hard time [watching],” she says. “I have a lot of followers on Twitter, so everyone has an opinion on your life, and they think they know you. Some of the things they say are hurtful, but he made me keep it together. He’s very supportive with everything.”

BBW Star Evelyn Lozada Wants 20K Or She Walks

(February 4, 2011 - Photo by Michael Kovac/Getty Images North America)

Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada wants more money per episode or she’s out. According to TMZ, Lozada and her cast mates currently make $7,500 per episode. Lozada is giving the producers an ultimatum — either pay her $20,000 an episode, or she’s gone for good, reports TMZ.

Lozada already threatened to leave the show due to the producers allegedly leaking personal information to another cast member in the hopes of causing a rift between the two

Currently, the show’s producers have been mum on their next move.

I wonder whether it was  Royce or Evelyn that called TMZ and told them this information.
