Move over Beyonce, Pantene has a new famous face behind its brand!
Queen Latifah has been named the new face of Pantene’s Truly Relaxed and Truly Natural Collection.
Apparently, this is an opportunity that the actress-singer has been waiting for. She says, “I’ve wanted to work with them for a long time. When they first approached me, I thought, ‘Finally!’”
She goes on to reveal to PEOPLE just why she wanted to work with Pantene. “Having black hair is unique,” she explains, “in that black women change up styles a lot. You can walk down one street block in New York City and see 10 different hairstyles that black women are wearing: straight curls, short cuts, braids — we really run the gamut. That means we have to have the products that really work for all of our various looks, and Pantene is so versatile.”
Latifah, whose talk show begins on Sept. 9, is excited to rock her hair more natural. “I’m really looking forward to wearing it natural more often. It’s just fun,” she told us.
‘The Game’ has taken-up where Chris Brown left off. The rapper posted a picture on his Twitter page of his new hair-do, a mohawk-like style dyed bright red. The Game wasn’t showing his face (I wonder why) in the picture but judging by the tattoo placement, his profile and the fact that it came from his Twitter account, it is him.
Rihanna has taken her hair to a whole new level. The “What’s My Name?” singer was seen out and about with some larger than life hair. Hrr hair of course is still red, but Rih Rih decided to take things up a notch and make it “Chaka Khan big.” Rihanna also posted a picture, seen below, while she was on the set of hr upcoming video for the song “S&M.”
It was only a matter of time before one of Will Smith‘s kids decided to release a song. Willow Smith‘s new song “Whip My Hair” hit the internet a couple of days ago and caused a major buzz. Smith,10, has been seen on the red carpet sporting some interesting hairdos in the past few months, s it’s no surprised her new song is about hair. The song is catchy and at least she’s talking about whipping hair and not something else. Listen to the song below.
