McFarlane and Family Guy producer Mark Hentemann joined forces to create the series, which will air sometime in the 2014-2015 season.

Bordertown has been in development since 2009. The show is set in a fictional desert town in Texas, and centers around Bud Buckwald –a married father of three (much like Family Guy) who is s a border patrol agent that isn’t adjusting to the cultural changes around him.

THR says Bordertown “takes a satirical look at America’s cultural shifts through the evolving relationships between Bud’s family and that of his next-door neighbor Ernesto Gonzales, a Mexican immigrant and father of four.”
