Katy Perry has decided to pay homage to the Rock band Queen in a unique way.
Perry teamed up with Coty Inc. to produce a scent called “Killer Queen,” which is named after the band’s classic 1974 song.
“Killer Queen has been in my vocabulary since I was 15,” Perry told Women’s Wear Daily. “Freddie Mercury painted the lyrics of this woman who I wanted to be. She seemed very powerful, and she captivated a room when she walked in.” Killer Queen is the third fragrance from the ‘Teenage Dream” singer. The new fragrance will hit shelves in August. Perry says Killer Queen represents a “powerful, edgy, sophisticated” style reflective of her current music. “I feel like, after all this time, it was appropriate to use that name in association with something I did,” she says. “I feel like I’m falling, finally, into that woman Freddie painted.”Source | Rolling Stone
