‘Up Late with Alec Baldwin’ Is No More

Alec Baldwin‘s MSNBC show has been axed.

The actor’s show, Up Late with Alec Baldwin, was pulled from the line-up indefinitely, after allegations surfaced of Baldwin calling a paparazzo a “c**ksucking f*g.”  The show was suspended on Nov. 15, but now it seems as though the show is not coming back at all.

The New York Post is reporting that Baldwin a spokesperson for the actor explained, “The show is not coming back. He had questions on whether he wanted to continue.”

MSNBC insists that  it was a mutual decision.

“This is a mutual parting and we wish Alec all the best,” MSNBC said in a statement.

GQ Honors James Gandolfini in ‘Men of the Year’ Issue

jamesg
James Gandolfini is gone, but not forgotten. GQ magazine has composed a touching cover and feature, honoring the late actor who died in June 2013.

Gandolfini’s longtime friend, German watchmaker Michael Kobold, shared stories about the actor and his own feelings about Gandolfini as well.

Check out what he had to say about Gandolfini below.

On James’ mercurial temperament:
“I’d been scanning ‘The New York Times’ for hours when Jim shuffled out, grumbled at me, and sat down to red the ‘New York Post.’ For five minutes or so, we had a one-sided conversation… Jim’s grip on the paper began to tighten until he was practically crumpling it. ‘So help me God, if you ask me one more f***ing question, I will get you deported, you f***ing German!’ he yelled. Jim’s temper could run hot, but it also passed quickly. Ten minutes later, after some coffee, he smiled at me. ‘I’m sorry, Kobold, but you can be so f***ing annoying in the morning.’ ‘I’ll try to be less happy tomorrow,’ I told him. ‘No, don’t do that. Just don’t direct your happiness towards me.'”

On Michael’s difficulties to bring James’ body home from Italy:
“The initial news in Rome wasn’t good: Paticia Hill, the U.S. vice consul at the embassy told me it would be as long as a week before the body could be cleared. Jim had passed on Wednesday night and was already at the morgue by the time I got to Rome the next morning. After an autopsy, he would be held until we could get his remains repatriated. But in the near term, progress was looking grim.”

On Michael addressing James’ death:
“The minute that door opened, it was like stepping into a movie scene: There were probably ten TV cameras, twenty still photographers, and so many journalists that every seat in the small meeting room was filled. The spillover was standing along the walls. If you watch the tape, I seem cold and wooden – the prototypical German! – but I was basically frozen with fear, capable only of reading a prepared statement. ‘Today, we received the results of the autopsy, which stated he died of a heart attack, of natural causes.’ I read. ‘Once we have the clearance, we will put him on a flight to America. It is up to the Italian authorities to decide how quickly.’ I took no questions. And then I had to do it again the next day and the one after.”

Various media outlets reported that Rihanna‘s LOUD tour was in trouble due to poor ticket sales and the singer would have to cancel tour dates. However, a rep for Live Nation says that’s far from the truth.

According to this reliable source 30 shows in North America are on the way to selling-out even though they won’t play until June and July. Some may not realize that history shows that Hip-Hop/R&B shows  are known to be late-selling, meaning concert-goers normally buy their tickets late or at the last minute

Rihanna has already sold out 56 arenas in Europe.

There you have it folks, sometimes you can’t believe everything you read.

Rihanna Covers Fabulous Magazine

Rihanna is featured on yet another magazine cover. This time around,  the “S&M” singer  graces the cover of   Fabulous magazine – a UK-based magazine which will feature RihRih next month.  During the interview, Rihanna touched on relationships, her red hair being a sex symbol and much more.  One topic Rihanna was not open to dicussing was Chris Brown. Check out some interview snippets below.

Rihanna  on…

being hailed a ex symbol:
Every time I hear that it’s definitely flattering, but also uncomfortable. That’s not a priority on my list – being a sex symbol or being overly sexy. I’m just a normal woman. I don’t really focus on being a sex symbol.

other artists in the industry she’s competing with:

I never focus on who or what is at the top, because when people become better at what they do individually, it’s noticed. And that’s all I want to be: an artist who was known for growing constantly and becoming bigger and better.

It’s not about who’s better between Rihanna, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. I’m more in competition with myself. I always challenge myself to do better next time. It doesn’t matter who’s at the top as long as I’m getting closer to that point every time. That’s all I care about.

why she chose to dye her hair red:
I think I was ready for something new and loud and expressive. It’s really adventurous – I wanted something that was fun, you know. I didn’t want a normal hair colour. I’d had blonde and it was so boring. Black is still my favourite, but I was looking for a colour that was edgy. I guess it was just the place I was in at that time. I felt like being spontaneous, and I also wanted to go for something extreme. I couldn’t do green or purple or pink, so red was like the fine line between normal and extreme!

moving on and forward with her  life:
I wanted people to move on from it, [because] the last big thing they know about me is that night. And I don’t want that to be what people define me as.

The interviewer did try to ask the starlet about her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. Rihanna was not please with Brown being brought up and snapped at the reporter.

When asked about Brown, Rihanna initially said: “Excuse me?”

The interviewer didn’t get the hint and asked Rihanna about him again and this time Rihanna said a little bit more: “Next. You obviously want to talk about Chris Brown, I don’t.”

Let’s just say the interviewer got the point after that.

Chris Brown seems to be in the news every other day lately. The singer told Billboard.com that he was done  apologizing in general.

Here’s what Brown had to say:

“People are always gonna talk. But I’m in a positive place,” Brown told the New York Post’s Page Six Magazine in its latest issue, out tomorrow. “I consider myself a grown-ass man. And at the end of the day, if I walk around apologizing to everybody, I’m gonna look like a damn fool.”
