Last week rapper Gucci Mane made headlines after getting a tattoo of three scoops of ice cream cone on his face. Many thought the rapper was drunk, high or even mentally un-well. Now, the tattoo artist that did Mane’s tattoo ( Shane Willoughby) is speaking out on what he witnessed, how Mane acted and his two cents.
Shane Willoughby begins by saying that Gucci was completely sober and he doesn’t work on people who are high or drunk.
“I was hesitant like ‘Are you sure you want to put that much ink in that area? He came straight to the counter and that’s where he pointed. I won’t tattoo anybody if their drunk or high because I can’t stand the smell of weed. Gucci seemed completely sober. He knew what he was doing. When Gucci said he wanted to do the ice cream thing I said ‘Well why don’t we do it somewhere else?’ But he was like I don’t have anywhere else. He said ‘I want something rock ‘n roll.’ There’s nothing more rock ‘n roll then lightening bolts.. I don’t think I’ll ever do that again, no matter how successful the celebrity. He was stoked. Had no regrets was jumping up and down. That’s the way he rolls
Looks like Ja Rule won’t be getting his career back on track anytime soon The rapper reached a plea deal for gun charges stemming from a arrest back in July 2007.
The Murder Inc. rapper pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony in the second degree.
In celebrity fashion, Ja Rule took to Twitter and tweeted the following: “Minor setback for a major comeback.”
The rapper is slated to appear in court in February, to inform the judge of his progress. Ja Rule is set to sentenced shortly after that in the same month.
Both Lil Wayne and Ja Rule were arrested on the same night after a performance at Manhattan’s Beacon Theatre in York City.
After the concert, both rappers, in separate occurrences , were pulled over by the New York Police Department. Both were charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
Since the rapper reached an agreement with prosecutors, he will likely serve 16 months in prison.
It seems as though Soulja Boy‘s reign of success may be over. The rapper’s fourth overall studio album, The DeAndre Way, delivered extremely poor album sales in its first week.
The DeAndre Way debuted on the Billboard Hot 200 chart at No. 79 with 13,000 copies sold. That may seem like a lot of copies, but it definitely isn’t for someone who has sold millions in the past. For year people have said that Soulja Boy was overrated, maybe the rest of the population finally caught on.
Looks like Gucci Mane forgot the lesson he said he learned while in prison. The rapper was arrested yesterday and charged with driving on the wrong side of the road, obstruction of justice, no license, running a red light or stop sign, damage to government property, no proof of insurance and other traffic charges, according to APD spokesman Curtis Davenport.
Mane was so out of it, at the time of his arrest, that the arresting officers had to restrain the rapper with pepper spray. This arrest comes months after Mane was released from Fulton County Jail for violating parole.
Here’s what Mane told the media when he was released from jail on May 12, 2010:
“I have made some mistakes in my life that have hurt a lot of people who care about me.
“I have worked very hard to get past them, but those mistakes have brought me to where I am today, and they will not be repeated. These past six months have been a difficult time, but fortunately I have learned a great deal from my experience. I was able to do a great deal of soul searching; I am coming out with a new attitude towards life.”
Looks like T.I. might not be the only one going to jail. The rapper’s wife, Tameka Cottle aka Tiny, was officially charged with possessing ecstasy, reports TMZ. This charge comes a month after Tiny and T.I. were arrested on the Sunset Strip last month.
If convicted, Tameka could face up to one year behind bars.
The official music video for Emnem‘s song “No Love” premiered a few days ago and judging by its YouTube stats, the video will definitely hit a million views in no-time. The song/video also features rapper Lil Wayne. ” No Love” is the third single from Emnem’s Recovery album. The song samples Haddaway’s song “What Is Love.”
