Lauren Conrad has a lot to smile about these days.
She’s the January 2014 covergirl of Cosmopolitan magazine. inside this issue, Conrade gives all the sentimental details regarding her engagement. She also dishes on her time on reality TV and her body.
Check out some of her Cosmopolitan highlights below!
On her fiance’s proposal:
“I had no idea it was coming. I thought he would wait until he finished law school. He didn’t even ask my friends [what kind of ring to buy], which was a bold move. He said, ‘I know you, and I know what you like.’ And I love it. It’s perfect.”
On her views on marriage:
“You have the rest of your life to be married. Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about wedding than the marriage. you should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy. William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy, and when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream… If you’re going to settle down, it should be with someone you can’t stop thinking about. Especially if you’re in your 20s. If I were single in my 60s, I would totally settle. I would!”
On her biggest mistakes while on reality TV:
“Being on television all those years, I got to view my own behavior. One thing I realized is that I was too hard on my friends when it came to guys. Instinctively, I wanted to protect them. But when you come off as judge-y and people are reluctant to come to you with a problem. I had to cut ‘I told you so’ from my vocabulary.”
On how she views her body:
“I’m so jealous of people who completely love their bodies. I think most women have trouble areas as well as areas that they like. So you play up your favorite parts and learn to dress around the others. I used to hate my legs, but now I always wear minis. It was an accident. In an effort to look taller, I started wearing really high heels with shorter skirts and ended up showing off my legs a lot.”
The self-proclaimed HBIC posted a photo of herself on a throne-like chair, with a caption that read: ‘”Ratchet Queens“:In production & 3weeks!!‘
From the photo and the tweet, one can deduce that Pollard will be training women how to become ‘Ratchet Queens.’ Even though the term ‘ratchet’ wasn’t around when Pollard was a hot commodity on VH1, her ‘New York’ persona definitely embodies the term to a tee.
the last we saw Pollard, she was playing “Reesie” on Logo’s DTLA. Her last reality television show was New York Goes to Work (2009).
No word on the confirmed premise of the show, or when it will air. For more Tiffany “New York” Pollard updates, follow her on Twitter.
