Justin Timberlake To Work on New Album This Summer

(February 28, 2011 - Photo by Photo Agency)

After what seems like an eternity, Justin Timberlake will be back in the studio this summer. Timberlake’s last album FutureSex/LoveSounds was released in 2006. Although the singer has been featured on many tracks since then, he hasn’t put out his own album in over 4 years. Timberlake had this to say about making music and the difficulty he’s had in being “unemployed.”

I have not retired from music. I am unemployed right now and that is very dangerous. It gets hard to motivate yourself to do anything besides golf.

I feel like I’m always writing music and working on songs. But to make an album, you have to find a group of songs that speak to something that might not be on the radio currently and make sense for you personally.
