Miley Cyrus’ raunchy MTV VMAs performance has created quite a stir and it’s been over a week since it happened.
While some have slammed the former DIsney kid, Lady Gaga refuses to pass judgement. In fact, she thinks people need to “lighten up.”
“I don’t like to pass judgment on Miley Cyrus. Generally, people need to lighten up about pop music — it’s about entertainment,” Gaga reportedly told The Sun. “It is here to make you smile and make you happy. Especially in America, there is an excessive dragging of female artists, and I don’t want to contribute to that.”
For Gaga, Cyrus’ performance was “polarizing” — “but that’s it,” she said.
Gaga joins fellow Miley Cyrus supporters Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, and Adam Lambert.
