Bob Harper Has Completed Cardiac Rehab Following Heart Attack

 

Bob Harper celebrated a huge milestone in his recovery since suffering a heart attack earlier this year.

The 51-year-old “Biggest Loser” host recently completed cardiac rehab.

“Yesterday was a BIG DAY in my recovery from my heart attack. I finished my cardiac rehab,” Harper captioned an Instagram photo on Thursday.

 “It has been super important to me and also HUMBLING. All the support that I’ve been getting from all my IG friends helped me when it was tough so THANK YOU for all the love and support. 🖤🖤 #heartattacksurvivor.”

Harper suffered a heart attack on Feb. 12 at New York City’s BRICK gym.

Harper attributed his survival to the two doctors that happened to be in the gym at the time of his heart attack.

Bret Michaels to Appear in ‘SHARKNADO 5’

 

Fifth times the charm, as Bret Michaels has been tapped to appear in ‘SHARKNADO 5: Global Swarming.’

Michaels, who is best known as the lead of Poison, will debit his custom made Sharkslayer guitar.

Michaels reveals, “I was talking to my good friend Mark McGrath who raved about how much fun he had doing Sharknado. When the writers approached me with an idea specifically written for me, I couldn’t say no. The producers and entire crew were great and I had a truly amazing time filming it. I think everyone is going to love this new film.”
Scotty Mullen, screenwriter and casting director of SHARKNADO 5 says,  “Bret was awesome. He invited us out to his house, handed us a beer and shared his enthusiasm of the franchise, along with his many amazing ideas.  His scene with the custom made and soon to be iconic sharkslayer guitar is one of the wildest, most exciting, fun openings we have ever shot. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before and sure to be a fan favorite in the history of SHARKNADO.
The latest installment will premiere on SYFY channel Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 8/7c and will air in more than 100 countries.

Oflglen To Return for Season 2 of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

Fans of  HULU’s ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ can breathe a sigh of relief, as Ofglen (played by Alexis Bledel) will be returning for Season 2.

In spite of how grim the character’s outlook seemed in Season 1, the actress will be a series regular for its sophomore run.

“The Handmaid’s Tale  was adapted from the 1985 Margaret Atwood novel about a future where the US has become Gilead, a totalitarian society where fertile women are forced into sexually serving the men.

Production on the series will begin this fall, with a Season 2 premiere slated for 2018.

Fifth Harmony Reveals Why They Opted to Keep Their Name

Fifth Harmony has decided not to change their name after all. The group has been a family of four since former member Camila Cabello left six months.

“It was obviously a thought, because it was a prevalent thing that there’s 4 of us not 5. Regardless, we were all very united in the fact that we didn’t want to change the name,” said bandmate Lauren Jauregui to MTV News. “Fifth Harmony is the name we grew up with and we worked for and it’s our brand. It’s who we are. It’s our entire moments. It’s what we spent five years on.”

The group seems content with having just four and there’s a special reason why. “The fans named us Fifth Harmony,” Dinah Jane Hansen said. “And now they’re the fifth member.” Aw!

‘Glee’ Star Charice Pempengco Changes Name to Jake Zyrus

Charice Pempengco, who garnered fame on YouTube and appeared on episodes of Glee, now goes by the name Jake Zyrus.

The singer initially revealed to Oprah Winfrey three-years ago that he soul was male, and now Pempengco has taken the next step. She posted her first tweet as Jake, on social media on Sunday.

He wrote,”My first tweet as Jake. Overwhelmed. Saw all your love comments and I’m so happy. Finally. I love you, everyone and see you soon.”

Zyrus also took to Instagram, to thank fans for their support. “From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the love and respect,” Zyrus wrote on Instagram. “I love you back and I’m sending peace to everyone.”

Zyrus expressed no plans to transition in the past, he only made mention of wearing “boy” clothes and cutting his hair.

Prodigy of Mobb Deep Dead at 42

Veteran emcee Prodigy has died in Las Vegas. He was 42.

Prodigy is one-half of the rap group, Mobb Deep.

“It is with extreme sadness and disbelief that we confirm the death of our dear friend Albert Johnson, better known to millions of fans as Prodigy of legendary N.Y. rap duo Mobb Deep,” a Mobb Deep representative wrote in a statement to XXL.

“Prodigy was hospitalized a few days ago in Vegas after a Mobb Deep performance for complications caused by a sickle cell anemia crisis. As most of his fans know, Prodigy battled the disease since birth. The exact causes of death have yet to be determined.”

The rap vet was in Las Vegas last week to perform as part of the Art of Rap tour, which included Ghostface Killah, Onyx, KRS-One and Ice-T.
